The Solu Sherpa Culture Trek explores the less 'touristy' part of the Solu Khumbu for a taste of authentic Sherpa culture.  The Sherpa Culture Trek is a fairly short and easy trek and a great way to explore the beautiful scenery of Everest Region. herpa Culture trek is short 10 days easy/moderate trek that lead you to visit very beautiful Sherpa villages of lower Everest region. Sherpa cultural Trek is highly recommended those who want to know about Isolated Sherpa village and people, Lifestyle of Sherpa people (those involved in Tourism sector of Nepal since 1950), religious belief of Sherpa people and exploration of Nyingma pa sect Buddhist monasteries( all Eastern Nepal Sherpa people belong and believe in Nyingma pa sect of Buddhist religion). The Everest Region can be divided into two parts, Solu and Khumbu. The Solu region is less traveled than Khumbu which has become so busy it may be difficult to recognize the Sherpa culture apart from the trekking culture.  The Sherpa Culture Trek  starts with a short flight to Phaplu and explores the scenic hills below Numbur Himal, 6950m. The main highlight of Sherpa culture trek is to learn and explore different Buddhist monasteries of this area within your short trek. Sherpa Culture Trekking is the prefect destination for people of all ages and is the perfect trek for those who can not afford more time for trekking in the high mountains. We see excellent view of Mount Everest including Thamserku (6623m.), Kantega (6780m.), Kusum Kangaru (6370m.) and Mera Peak (6650m.)  We spend the nights in the warm welcome of local guesthouses.

Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m/4,264 ft

Arrive at the airport and transfer to a hotel.Stay overnight and prepare for the trek.

Day 2
Fly to Lukla (2,800m/9,184ft) then trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft)

From Kathmandu take a flight to Lukla which takes about 40 minutes.From lukla trek to Phakding which takes 3-4 hrs.Enjoy the beauty along the trek.Stay overnight.

Day 3
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft): 5-6 hours

From Phakding trek towards Namche.The trek takes about 5-6 hrs.Walk through beautiful pine forests and then along Dudh Koshi River ending our nature-filled journey at Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 4
Namche Bazaar (3,440 m/11,283 ft): Acclimatization Day

This is the day set aside for acclimatization.. We can either stroll around Namche’s quaint villages or come in contact with the Sherpa people and their rich culture, or we can hike up to the Everest View Hotel and enjoy an up-close view of the mighty Everest. While in the Namche village or upon returning from the hike to the Everest View Hotel, trekkers may also visit the local museum containing exhibits displaying the area’s native flora and fauna as well as the history of the Mount Everest region.

Day 5
Namche Bazaar to Thame (3736m/12255 ft): 5 - 6 hours

Our trail heads west along the valley of the Bhote Koshi River. The views of the Himalayas including Kongde Ri (6187m), Khumbi Yul La (5765m), Kusum Kanguru (6,373m) are fantastic. This trek takes about 5-6hrs.Overnight in Thame.

Day 6
Thame to Khumjung (3786m/12,419 ft): 5 hours

We climb up to the famous airstrip of Syangboche. The Khumjung valley is surrounded by Himalayas including Kongde, Thamserku and the scared Khumbila. While in the Khumjung village we can visit the Edmund Hillary School and Khumjung Monastery (a monastery famous for housing the head of the Yeti!). Overnight in Khumjung.

Day 7
Khumjung to Phortse (3542m/11,617 ft): 5 hours

From Khumjung we hike to Phortse. Phortse village lies in the Khumbu region, south of Mt. Everest, off the main trekking routes. Upon crossing the lower slopes of Khumbila, we enjoy the mesmerizing views of Phortse, Cholatse and Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Kangtanga among others. Overnight in Phortse.

Day 8
Phortse to Pangboche (3985m/ 13,070 ft): 4 - 5 hours

This day's trek starts with a hard but short climb after which we move steadily alongside a ridge to Pangboche. We visit the Pangboche Gomba on the way and see the footprints of the Lama Sangwa Dorje. The houses of Pangboche nestle beautifully above the terraced fields like a large crescent moon. Overnight in Pangboche.

Day 9
Pangboche to Tengboche (3864m/12,673 ft): 2 hours

From Pangboche, we head east and join the main trail of the Everest Base Camp. Then we descend to Tengboche, a village that houses the very famous Tengboche monastery which is the largest monastery of the Everest region. Overnight in Tengboche.

Day 10
Tengboche to Namche Bazaar: 5 - 6 hours

From Tengboche, we trek down through the hillside blanketed by rhododendron and juniper trees. After crossing the prayer flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River our trail follows the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through the pine forests before reaching Sansa which is a major trail junction in the region.. After passing a Chorten, we reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Day 11
Namche Bazaar to Lukla: 6-7 hours

The trail descends steeply downward so we need to walk cautiously as our shaky legs continuously battle the rocky terrain. After crossing the suspension bridges over the fast flowing Dudh Koshi and its tributaries, the trail becomes more level and natural. Overnight in Lukla.

Day 12
Fly to Kathmandu

Take a 40 min flight from Lukla to Kathmandu.Stay overnight.

Day 14
Final Departure

Arrive at the airport and check in for final departure.
