Mardi Himal Trek
Mardi Himal Trek is located just east of one of the most legendary trekking destination of Nepal, the Annapurna Base Camp trek. The Mardi Himal Trek is an ideal choice for those of us who are looking for an ‘off the beaten path’ trekking experience in the quieter parts of the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is the lowest and perhaps the least visited of the trekking peaks in Nepal. While trekking on this route, leading up to Mardi Himal base camp and finally the high camp, we get to appreciate the solitary trails complete with verdant forests, interesting villages, valleys, terraced farms, dazzling rivers and the extraordinary views of the Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Hiunchuli mountains. The exotic and interesting trail wanders through lush valleys, alpine meadows, lichen-laden dense forests, numerous streams, and waterfalls, with the fascinating mountain sceneries glossy upon the close horizon It is best to experience the brilliance of solitary ever snowcapped peaks and the great opportunity of an excellent cultural experience and venture of Machhapuchhare Basecamp.. Another benefit about this trekking route is that the trail makes a small circuit up to the base camp of Mardi Himal so that we don’t have to backtrack over the same terrain. Mardi Himal is a less traveled route located in the most visited destination Annapurna region. The path is so less used and non-touristy that you feel like embarking upon a discovery expedition. Hiking on this route will give you a great place to get a taste of the real thing if you are light on alpine experience. The climbing trip can be combined with a trekking adventure in the remote steep-sided valleys heavily wooded with bamboo and rhododendron.
