Rolwaling Valley Trek is one of the most difficult trekking destination in Nepal.It is situated between the Everest and Langtang Himalaya ranges, below Gauri Shankar (7145m) and south border of Tibet. This region lies between Langtang range and Everest range. Rolwaling valley is simply known as ‘The Grave’ because of its location.It is buried down between steep ice giants.This trekking is one of the hard pass in Everest Himalaya.Very few trekkers have been able to conquer this valley. Rolwaling is considered a beyul, one of only eight sacred, hidden valleys in the Himalaya serving to protect the dharma. Some of the highlights of this trek are Rolwaling Valley, Khumbu, Tamang Village, Wonderful views.This valley also has rumours about the Yeti. The Rowling valley is abundant with alpine lakes, hanging glaciers, moraines, high pastures, waterfalls and imminent view of snowy peaks in the backdrop. This region is rich in biological diversity, glacial lakes, mountains and isolated villages. More than that Rolwaling area is also home of many endangered and globally threatened animals. The Rolwaling Himal, along the Tibetan border, forms the northern border of a wild, beautiful east-west valley that, due to its isolated location, has been largely closed to trekkers. It is also an alternative trail to Everest base camp trekking located at the west of Khumbu.  The region is rich in flora (with 16 major vegetation types) and fauna (with 34 species of mammal, 16 of fish, 10 of amphibian, 8 of lizard, 14 of snake and 235 of birds).

Day 1
Arrive at Kathmandu

Reach Kathmandu Airport and transfer to a hotel.Stay Overnight and prepare for the trek.

Day 2
Katmandu to Dolkha (1650m)

We will have about 7 hours drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha and spend a night at hotel at Dolakha.It is a serene place outside Kathmandu.

Day 3
Dolakha to Shigati (1020m).

The trek starts from Dolakha.Work through scattered villages and terraces. The trail is very well defined and used by porters and shepherds.

Day 4
Shigati to Gongar (1350m).

Working through a Bhote koshi river, pass a fir hamlets and villages working through a forest give you a chance to see a GauriShankar Himal (7145m).You can enjoy the picturesque beautiful of the Himalayas.Reach Gongar and stay overnight.

Day 5
Gongar to Simigaon (2020m)

From Gongar,the path slowly gains altitude on an impressive slope, and later crosses terraces. Arrive at Simigaon a Sherpa village.Explore the culture and stay overnight at Simigaon.

Day 6
Simigaon to Donga (2800m).

From here trek to the Rolwaling valley, working through a gorgeous rhododendron forest. The path steadily climbs towards Gyalche. Eventually, we descend back down to the river and establish the campsite on the Rolwaling Khola.Stay overnight.

Day 7
Donga to Beding (3690m)

From Donga, gradually climb the valley with good mountain scenery. We will visit the ochre colored Gompa at Beding, the largest village in the Valley. Stay overnight.

Day 8
Beding to Na (4180m)

A short walk will take us from Beding to Na. A tiny alpine hamlet only inhabited during summer months a majestic view of impressive peaks with Chobutse (6685m) and Chugimago (6259m).Stay overnight.

Day 9
Na to Nyiduk Kongma (4750m).

Above Na Gaun, the trail meanders up to a high lake named Thso Rolpa (4540m) and up to the lateral moraines of the Rolwaling glacier.Reach Nyiduk and stay overnight.

Day 10
yiduk NKongma- Drolumbau Glacier (5200m)

After a considerable walk from Nyiduk,reach Drolumbau Glacier.Explore the beauty and stay overnight.

Day 11
Drolumbau Glacier to Tashi Lapsa passes (5755m)

The Teshi Lapcha La goes through these mountains by the footslopes of Patchamo. The descent on the other side is steep and very rough through boulder fields.It takes about 6 hours to reach Tashi Lapsa.Stay overnight.

Day 12
Camp to Thame (3800m)

Cross river through ancient rhododendron, oak and pine forests interspersed with terraced fields adjoining the numerous villages of the region. Camping at night.

Day 13
Thame to Namche Bazar (3440m).

This trip takes about 5-6 hours.Return from Thame to Namche bazaar.

Day 14
Namche Bazaar trekking to Lukla (2,850)

The descent from Namche to the Dudh koshi can be the hardest stage of the entire trek. The trail descends over the ridge past rocky cliffs and scattered pines to the tiny village of Toktok. Thetrail drops steeply and runs level through out the day.Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You'll have time to stroll around the local areas.

Day 15
Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

Take a flight back to Kathmandu of an exciting one hour. (It can also be a spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.)Stay overnight at a Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16
Free day.

You are free to have some shopping and enjoy the local streets and life of people. You can have a relax walk over the streets and view the normal living of Nepalese. Also you can buy some memories and gifts for back to your home. Full day leisure can be accompanied by some entertainment and sound time in hotel.

Day 17
Final Departure

Check in to the Airport and bid farewell for final departure.
